Fort Drum has phenomenal recreation and hunting opportunities for people of all ages and interests to enjoy.  These include hunting, fishing, camping, hiking, and many other activities.  Thorough information can be found on the official Fort Drum Fish & Wildlife Management Program Page.

Hunting and fishing opportunities are available within the cantonment area for those with eligible Department of Defense passes.  These include deer hunting that is restricted to bow hunting from tree stands and a proficiency qualification exam.  Fort Drum also participates in the Deer Management Assistance Program which makes additional antlerless permits available.  More info on hunting within the cantonment area can be found here.
